SLI 2023 is an opportunity for Bridges coaches, administrators, curriculum specialists and teacher-leaders to come together as a community and discuss how to focus on student strengths. We will be offering:
Build a comprehensive vision of asset-based teaching and learning.
You have the option of joining the Intervention Leadership Conference on July 23–24 and continuing your learning journey at our Summer Leadership Institute on July 24–27. Both conferences will take place at Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.
In-Person Event (July 24–27, 2023):
This year’s SLI takes place at Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. The cost will be $550 per attendee.

SLI (Summer Leadership Institute) is geared toward Bridges instructional leaders and teacher leaders. The purpose is to support strong instructional practice and introduce ways that leaders can support and encourage educators’ implementation of Bridges. This year, SLI will focus on asset-based teaching and learning—for all students. There will be sessions focused on supporting multilingual learners, intervention, horizontal enrichment, and productively adapting curriculum, as well as multiple ways to support educators using Bridges in their classrooms.
ILC (Intervention Leadership Conference) is geared more toward those who support intervention. This might mean folks who provide direct intervention services to students, as well as those who coordinate intervention at a school or district level. Rather than a series of sessions, this is designed as an interactive workshop.
The virtual institute (July 20–21) will take place before the in-person institute (July 24–27). The virtual institute will feature a subset of the sessions offered at the in-person institute. We will record all the virtual sessions, as well as the in-person keynotes, and after some post-production, will make the recordings available to attendees of the virtual SLI for six months’ time.
The synchronous time during the live virtual institute (July 20–21) will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. PT on Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT on Friday. That said, the virtual institute attendees will receive access to recordings of all virtual sessions and in-person keynotes for six months, so depending on how many of those recordings a participant engages with, the total number of hours might be significantly higher.
